Nikon has introduced a new lens for FX format. It is a wide-angle zoom lens labeled AF-S NIKKOR 18-35 mm f/3.5-4.5G ED. According to information is intended primarily for SLR cameras with high resolution, such as: Nikon D800, Nikon D800 and Nikon D600.
Focal length range is 18-35 mm. Aperture of the lens f/3.5-4.5G. Minimum focusing distance of the new NIKKOR 18-35 mm is 28 cm and weighs only 385 grams.
Nikon expands still more affordable lenses for the FX format, the owners of cheaper FX SLR cameras had the opportunity to buy a cheaper lens.
